'An Area Guide for Caravanners and Motorcaravanners' compiled by David Berry ...

... things to do, walks to walk and much more - from 40 campgrounds ...

David Berry writes: 'I have often felt, on arriving at a campground, that I would like some easy guide to things to do and see. OK, there will no doubt be an Information Centre on the site; in the nearby town it is likely there is a Visitors' Centre - but do I want to plough through all those flyers, leaflets, guide magazines etc to find what I want? My answer is 'No' and that gave me the idea for this CD.

'The content, for each of the 40 campgrounds, is based on our own experience. If it's a National Trust property then we have visited it - and added photographs to the host already on the CD. If it's a walk, then we have walked it. This is a strong point as there are full instructions for each leg of the walk, with a photo of each turning point. A 'printer friendly' version of each walk is provided so you can take a copy with you.

'This is just two examples of content - but there is much more with 'stunning' photographs to whet your appetite for a visit.

'An important ingredient is that there are numerous Internet links, where relevant, so that you can study, in depth before departure, the locale of your chosen campground. Not everyone travels with a laptop, so each campground section has a 'text only' version for printing out as an aide-mémoire.

'Finally, having made your choice of campground, there are full instructions with maps, on how to get there.'
